Clinical Activities
Rebecca's clinical work is through the UCSF Housecalls program, which provides in-home primary care to frail homebound elders. Since 2001, Housecalls has provided care to over 300 individuals. Housecalls is a unique program that provides outstanding medical and palliative care to elders who otherwise would not be able to access care except through emergency services.
Housecalls is a non-profit program that does not charge any additional fees for providing care in the home. Patients come from all socioeconomic backgrounds and neighborhoods in San Francisco. Eighty percent of the patients are poverty level or low-income. Rebecca has worked to obtain grant funding from local Bay Area Foundations as well as individual donors to support the Housecalls program.
